Can anybody learn how to dance?

Yes! Our teachers are committed to teaching you how to dance in a fun, easy way. Dancing can be as easy as walking. Hundreds of thousands have successfully learned how to dance at Fred Astaire Dance Studios. Plus, all lessons are guaranteed! If you are not 100% satisfied with your progress, there is no charge for your lesson.
What is the age range of your students?
Ballroom dancing is enjoyed by people of all ages -from those in their 20’s to those in their 80’s and beyond.
Do I need a partner ?
Absolutely Not! Our studio instructs both singles and couples. If you are taking lessons on your own, your partner will be the instructor. We do have studio parties which give you the opportunity to dance with fellow students and our remarkable staff.

How will I be instructed?
You will be assigned your own individual instructor who will work with you during your private lessons. The individualized lessons allow you to learn at your own pace, helping you to retain as much information as possible from the very start.

How long will it take?

You will be dancing on your very first lesson. However, there are many factors that determine how long it will take to be a good dancer. Your natural ability; frequency and consistency of lessons; and how much you practice all play a part. Dancing is easy…but dancing well, smoothly and comfortably takes time.

What do I wear for my Lessons?
Dress comfortably and casually. The days of dressing formally for dance lessons are long gone. As for footwear, soft leather shoes for men, and comfortable heels for ladies are fine.

How do I schedule lessons?
Lessons are scheduled by appointment. Our business hours will give you the flexibility to schedule your lessons with little difficulty. Regular business hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, outside our normal hours are made by special appointment.

Will the introductory offer take care of my dancing needs?
Unfortunately, no. As the name implies, this course is mainly designed to introduce you to the studio, the staff and our system of teaching.

What about after the special?
Our introductory course gives you the opportunity to experience our teaching methods. We offer a variety of beginner programs. Should you decide, after your special introductory, that you would like to continue your dancing, our instructors will be delighted to help you determine which program will be best for you. We do accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, cash, and personal checks.

How much do lessons cost?
The cost depends on a number of factors: How good you want to be, what dances you want to learn, the number of days and weeks in your dance schedule, etc. After your introductory lessons, your instructor will be in a better position to recommend a program and you will have the knowledge to make an intelligent and informed choice.

Where will I use my dancing?
Every week, we host a studio party for all of our students. This provides you with the opportunity to practice your dancing with multiple partners as well as building your self-confidence for dancing outside the studio environment.
